Job Description

Out West Restaurant Group is the largest franchisee of Outback Steakhouse, a renowned Australian-themed restaurant that opened in March 1988. Outback Steakhouse has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality food with a lively and fun atmosphere. The company is committed to a culture of respect, camaraderie, and enthusiasm, which is reflected in the way they treat their customers and employees, whom they affectionately call "Outbackers." At Outback Steakhouse, they believe in the philosophy of treating people "Just Right," fostering a positive environment where success naturally follows. This commitment extends to providing excellent customer experiences, creating a welcoming space where guests feel at home, and ensuring each team member is well-trained and empowered to excel.

The role available is for a Host/Server Assistant, a crucial position tasked with exceeding customer expectations by delivering friendly, prompt, and attentive service tailored to each customer's preferences. This position requires a dynamic individual who can make things happen with a "No Rules, Just Right" mindset—someone ready to take initiative and contribute actively to the restaurant's smooth operation. The Host/Server Assistant is the first point of contact for guests, greeting them warmly upon arrival and departure, managing seating arrangements efficiently in dining and bar areas, and facilitating seamless handoffs to the service team. This collaborative role also involves engaging guests during wait times by offering beverages and food tastings, answering phone calls professionally, and providing recommendations on the food and drink menu to enhance the guest experience and drive upselling.

Beyond hospitality, the Host/Server Assistant plays a supportive role in the overall restaurant operations by bussing tables, delivering food and beverages, assisting guests throughout the venue, and ensuring every opportunity to WOW a customer is fulfilled. Teamwork is not just encouraged but required, as all Outbackers work together to maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation during their shifts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within a well-established company that values dedication, fun-loving spirit, and an eagerness to contribute to team success. Outback Steakhouse also prides itself on being an Equal Opportunity Employer, fostering diversity and inclusion within its workforce.
