Currently, Pier Sixty-Six Resort is seeking a well-rounded and seasoned Host/Hostess to join its esteemed team, focusing on the resort’s newly launched high-end bar situated on the top floor of the iconic tower. This role is ideal for hospitality professionals passionate about craft cocktails and live entertainment in a dynamic, high-volume environment. The Host/Hostess will play a pivotal role in welcoming guests to the prestigious tower cocktail lounge, ensuring a personalized and hospitable experience characterized by smooth operations and attention to guest preferences.
Reporting directly to the outlet General Manager, the Host/Hostess will provide exceptional service and coordination in this luxurious setting. Responsibilities include warmly greeting guests, assisting with seating arrangements that accommodate guests’ preferences and group sizes, managing waitlists during peak hours with accurate updates, and maintaining an organized hostess station equipped with menus, reservation books, and seating charts. Collaboration with servers and bartenders is essential in coordinating seating assignments and ensuring timely service throughout the lounge.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to anticipate and address guest needs proactively. The role also includes answering phone calls, managing reservations, providing detailed information about the lounge and resort amenities, and upholding the resort’s high standards of professionalism and hospitality. The Host/Hostess will often collaborate with various departments such as food and beverage and guest services to enhance the overall guest experience and handle guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with efficiency and courtesy.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED recommended
- Some college experience or degree recommended
- Minimum of one year host or related experience required

Job Duties
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival at the cocktail lounge
- Assist guests with seating arrangements considering their preferences and group size
