At the heart of these dining experiences is a team of hospitality professionals committed to delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring each guest enjoys their visit to the fullest. The community values team members who are enthusiastic, courteous, and customer-oriented, fostering a positive atmosphere for both residents and staff.
The Host/Hostess position at Sun City Roseville is a part-time role that plays a crucial part in enhancing the dining experience for community members. This role involves a variety of tasks related to restaurant operations, centered around welcoming guests, managing seating arrangements, and supporting the restaurant team to maintain smooth service. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with shifts typically available from 10am to 2:30pm and 4pm to 8:30pm. The pay range is competitive, offering between $16.90 and $18.00 per hour plus tips, along with benefits such as sick pay, 401(k) matching, and more.
As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting and assisting them from the moment they enter to when they are seated. You will prepare daily reservation and seating charts, answer phone calls to manage reservations and inquiries, and provide support by running drinks and food to tables and attending to guests' requests. Additionally, you will assist in resetting tables efficiently after guests depart and help with closing duties ensuring the front lobby and restaurant areas are secure and clean.
Ideal candidates will possess excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and basic math abilities for handling cash transactions. The ability to remain organized and focused while multitasking amid frequent interruptions is essential. Previous experience in retail or restaurant settings is preferred but not mandatory, and a valid driver license or reliable transportation is required. This role offers an opportunity to join a well-established community-focused organization where you can grow your hospitality skills, interact with diverse individuals, and contribute to a positive dining environment. If you enjoy working in a dynamic, client-facing role with flexibility and a supportive team, this position could be a great fit.
