The Host/Hostess will actively engage guests as they arrive and depart, helping to create a memorable and positive dining atmosphere. They will also handle the presentation and organization of menus, operate reservation and POS software, and perform light cleaning duties such as maintaining restrooms and sweeping the front entrance area.

The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with ambient noise commonly associated with restaurants and bars. The station will be located near the entry door, which may sometimes be drafty. The role requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, reaching, bending, and the occasional lifting of items up to 30 pounds. Because the Host/Hostess is often the first point of contact for guests, professional communication skills and impeccable personal hygiene and grooming are essential.

Employees in this role should be comfortable working long hours including frequent weekends, as customer service during peak dining times is paramount. There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position, allowing the Host/Hostess to focus primarily on guest satisfaction and smooth front-of-house operations.
