We are currently seeking enthusiastic, skilled, and dedicated individuals to join our team as Hosts and Cooks. The Host role is critical as it forms the first and last impression guests have at our venue and outlets, making it a position of great responsibility and visibility. Hosts at The Temporary are expected to embody our mission of exceptional service through warm, polite, and efficient interaction with our guests. The ideal Host is attentive to detail, proactive in anticipating guests' needs, and adept at using technology like OpenTable to manage reservations and seating smoothly. This position requires excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively within a team to maintain a positive dining atmosphere.

For the Cook position, we are looking for a disciplined professional with a robust culinary background and a dedication to excellence. The successful candidate will possess strong skills in handling ingredients, food preparation, timing, and presentation, all while working under pressure and maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen. This role demands a collaborative spirit and respect for kitchen hierarchy, coupled with a passion for hospitality and delivering an elevated guest experience through consistently outstanding cuisine. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in hospitality or culinary roles helpful
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Bilingual skills considered a plus
  • Strong commitment to maintaining health and safety standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties
  • Effective communication skills

Job Duties

  • Consistently following established sequence of service to provide the highest level of service to our guests
  • Building and establishing a personal clientele through guest interaction, name/face recognition
  • Anticipating guests needs and responding appropriately
  • Greeting guests with eye contact, a smile, and a sincere welcome as soon as they enter the restaurant
  • Name usage whenever possible is key
  • Polite communication with guests regarding any delays or changes in their table or reservation
  • Sincere farewell with a smile
  • Performing all opening and closing duties daily, as assigned per shift
  • Maintaining cleanliness of host area and entrances to insure a positive first impression
  • Working as a team to insure the highest level of guest satisfaction
  • Following all policies and procedures set forth by the company
  • Following all health and safety regulations
  • Communicating effectively with management and team members alike
  • Maintaining the highest level of professionalism with both guests and team members
  • Utilizing OpenTable for reservations and walk ins to obtain guest info
  • Seating guests in a polite and efficient manner at a reasonable pace for service
  • Assisting servers/bartenders/server assistants when possible to keep the flow of the dining room moving
  • Responsible to comply with all managers and direct supervisor requests
