Job Description

The Country Club of Virginia (CCV) stands as one of America's oldest and most prestigious private, member-owned clubs. Established in 1908 and located in Richmond, Virginia, CCV is widely recognized for its expansive facilities, top-tier amenities, and a commitment to offering an unparalleled experience to its 8,000 plus members. The club ranks number seven on the Platinum Clubs of America list, distinguishing itself among thousands of honored clubs across the nation. CCV operates on 1,111 acres featuring two magnificent clubhouses positioned seven miles apart, with world-class offerings that include 54 holes of golf, 24 tennis courts, five squash courts, three platform tennis courts, a 100,000 square foot fitness complex, five pools, and multiple dining outlets including five restaurants and three snack bars. Additionally, the club hosts various special event venues, making it a vibrant hub for social and athletic activity. During its active season, the club employs over 800 staff members and operates with a budget exceeding 52 million dollars, demonstrating its scale and importance in the private club community.

As part of its exciting growth and modernization efforts, the Country Club of Virginia has unveiled its newly renovated state-of-the-art James River Clubhouse. This renovation is aimed at enhancing the club's already exceptional food and beverage operations by providing a more inviting and cutting-edge environment for its members and guests. To support the grand reopening, CCV is seeking experienced and service-oriented Host and Hostess professionals to join its Food & Beverage team on a part-time basis. The Host/Hostess role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of dining services by warmly greeting members and guests, managing reservations and seating assignments efficiently, and coordinating closely with dining and service staff. Precision and grace in handling guest interactions, phone communications, and managing waitlists are vital to maintaining the exceptional standards CCV is known for. Candidates will also be responsible for keeping the host stand and entryway immaculate and organized, contributing to the overall welcoming atmosphere. With shift times spanning from mornings to late evenings, including weekend and holiday availability, this position requires flexibility, poise, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
