As a Host at our restaurant, you will be the first friendly face our guests see, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their entire visit. This position involves greeting guests warmly upon their arrival, managing the seating flow efficiently to balance guest comfort with operational needs, and providing excellent service from start to finish. Your presence at the front of the house will help create an inviting and organized environment, contributing to the overall smooth running of the dining area. You will handle reservations through phone or in-person inquiries, maintain the waiting list, and collaborate with waitstaff to ensure prompt seating and service. Moreover, you will support the upkeep of the hostess station and lobby, ensuring these areas remain clean and well-stocked. Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile and a friendly attitude upon arrival
- efficiently manage the seating chart to accommodate guests and optimize table turnover
- answer phone calls to take reservations or respond to inquiries politely and accurately
- provide guests with menus and notify servers of their arrival
- monitor the waiting list and inform guests when tables become available
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the hostess station and lobby area
- assist with side duties such as refilling condiments, restocking menus, and helping servers as needed
