As a Host at our restaurant, you will be the initial point of contact for our guests, setting the tone and atmosphere for their entire dining experience. Your role will be pivotal in managing the flow of customers by greeting guests upon arrival, coordinating seating arrangements efficiently, and maintaining an organized and inviting reception area. This position requires a warm and approachable personality combined with strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff alike. Your ability to manage reservations, answer inquiries, and monitor the waiting list will ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Physical stamina is essential as the role demands prolonged periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting. Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile and a friendly attitude upon arrival
- efficiently manage the seating chart to accommodate guests and optimize table turnover
- answer phone calls to take reservations or respond to inquiries politely and accurately
- provide guests with menus and notify servers of their arrival
- monitor the waiting list and inform guests when tables become available
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the hostess station and lobby area
- assist with side duties such as refilling condiments, restocking menus, and helping servers as needed
