Job Description
Lyric at RidgeGate is a vibrant and eclectic community created by Shea Homes, nestled in the scenic surroundings of South Metro Denver, Colorado. This community represents a multifaceted living experience combining the best of nature and modern amenities. Residents at Lyric enjoy access to a state-of-the-art fitness center, a cozy coffee house, and a signature restaurant designed to provide a premium lifestyle experience. The community also features facilities for swimming, lounging, and socializing, making it a wonderful place where people can gather and build lasting relationships while enjoying the comfortable and fun atmosphere of RidgeGate. Lyric at RidgeGate stands out not only for its beautiful setting and amenities but also for its commitment to creating a friendly, energy-filled, and inclusive environment where both residents and team members thrive.
The Host or Hostess position at Lyric’s signature restaurant is a full-time opportunity paying $15.16 per hour plus tips. As the first point of contact for guests arriving at the dining area, the host plays a vital role in shaping the dining experience. Responsible for greeting and seating guests, coordinating with food servers, and providing excellent hospitality, this role requires a welcoming demeanor and a passion for customer service. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, the host ensures smooth operations in the dining area by managing reservations, taking to-go orders, assisting servers, and handling cash or card transactions accurately. Beyond seating guests, the host also helps maintain a safe and enjoyable environment by monitoring for any potential safety issues or customer concerns and communicating these promptly to supervisors.
This position demands a high level of customer orientation and responsiveness, with the ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong teamwork skills, embody core values such as honesty, integrity, respect for individuals, and competitive spirit, and act as a role model within the team. The host should also be knowledgeable about the resort’s facilities and services to engage guests enthusiastically and answer questions about the menu and other amenities. This role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, keeping in mind the restaurant's busy and dynamic atmosphere.
Lyric at RidgeGate offers a competitive benefits package for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week. New hourly full-time team members become eligible for medical, dental, and life insurance plans on the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. Paid time off accrual at a rate of 120 hours per year and seven paid holidays annually further enhance the work-life balance for team members. Employees aged 21 and older can participate in the company’s 401(k) plan after 30 days of service. Part-time employees can accrue paid sick leave in accordance with state guidelines. This comprehensive benefits package underscores Lyric’s commitment to supporting the well-being and financial security of its staff. Overall, this is an excellent opportunity for someone energetic and service-driven to join a community-focused environment where personal growth and teamwork are highly valued.
