The Full-Time Host/Hostess role at ERS's Deupree House is a vital position within their dining services team. As a front-facing representative, the Host or Hostess will play a key role in creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for residents and their guests during meal service. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to manage reservations effectively, and an attention to detail to ensure the dining areas and settings are impeccably prepared and maintained. Job Requirements
- Two years front of the house dining room experience required
- Prior mentor experience preferred
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language
- Able to follow written and oral instructions
- Possesses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Able to bend, stoop, lift and push up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Possesses sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately
- Must be fully up-to-date required vaccinations
Job Qualifications
- Two years front of the house dining room experience
- Prior mentor experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to make independent decisions when required
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift and push up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Possess adequate sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics enabling these functions
- Fully up to date required vaccinations
Job Duties
- Sets up both the Grille 39 and main dining area ensuring table settings, menus, reserved signs, etc. are in place, and that the dining areas are clean and vacuumed and ready for service
- Welcomes residents and guests in a warm and friendly manner, and seats them based on their preferences
- Serves residents and guests lunch in Grille 39
- Assists servers in clearing and setting tables and delivering food as needed to diners
- Manages reservations for lunch and dinner
- Manages the room service orders, ensuring all orders are delivered timely and accurately
- Enters Club Plan and guest charges into the system every evening
- Responds to resident requests and questions politely or involves supervisor, as appropriate
- Commits to aligning behavior in accordance with the ERS Core Values and Ways of Working
