The Host/Hostess position at Denny's is a vital role that serves as the first point of contact for guests entering the restaurant. The Host/Hostess must create a friendly and organized environment, balancing efficiency and warmth in accordance with Denny’s brand standards. This position reports directly to the Restaurant Manager, General Manager, or Manager on Duty and plays a crucial role in supporting both the guest experience and teamwork among restaurant staff.

As a Host/Hostess, you will be expected to manage multiple tasks such as greeting and seating guests, managing wait times, assisting servers, and maintaining cleanliness in the front-of-house areas. The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to handle guest inquiries and resolve minor issues that may arise. Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry menus and seating supplies, and perform various cleaning tasks throughout the shift.

This position offers a pay range from $17.87 to $27.87 per hour, with actual earnings varying depending on factors such as restaurant brand, experience, education, geographic location, applicable minimum wage, unit volume, hours worked, and potential overtime pay. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred but not required
