The role of the Host/Hostess at Buffalo Wild Wings is pivotal in shaping the guest experience, serving as the initial point of contact for everyone who walks through the door. The Host/Hostess is tasked with providing exceptional guest service by engaging with customers warmly, taking orders accurately, delivering food efficiently, and processing payments smoothly. Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year experience in a customer service position preferred
  • Ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for up to four hours continuously
  • Ability to lift items up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, stoop, bend, reach, handle, and twist as required
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 40 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and portion controls

Job Duties

  • Inspire legendary experiences between friends for guests by creating an atmosphere of happiness and community
  • Inform guests of specials and promotions, answer questions and make suggestions when asked
  • Use upselling techniques with every guest to enhance experience
  • Address guest concerns and inform Manager
  • Promote excellence, cooperation and teamwork within the company
  • Support and assist team members, including bussing tables and assisting guest needs
  • Set up, maintain and operate front counter and condiment stands
  • Check guest identification for minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption
  • Adhere to standardized portion sizes, quality standards and department rules and procedures
  • Follow cashier sequence of service excellence
  • Answer telephone and respond to inquiries enthusiastically
  • Take drink and food orders and accurately input into register system
  • Ensure correct drinks and food ordered are delivered to guests
  • Collect payment and make correct change or process credit card transactions
  • Practice safe food handling and cleanliness standards
  • Bag and manage takeout orders, checking for accuracy
  • Maintain clean and orderly cashier area
  • Thank guests as they leave and solicit feedback about quality of service
  • Ensure PCI credit card compliance
  • Unload trucks, pallets, and cases of food and beverage and put in assigned locations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
