Job Description
The hiring establishment is a well-regarded restaurant known for providing exceptional dining experiences to its guests. This restaurant prides itself on creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for all visitors, ensuring that each customer receives attentive and friendly service from the moment they arrive until their departure. The team at this restaurant values professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to upholding high standards in every aspect of service, from menu knowledge to interaction with guests and coworkers. Extensive attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety standards complements the restaurant's commitment to excellence.
This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer interaction. The position of Host is a critical frontline role responsible for being the guests' first impression and their last memory of the dining experience. A Host’s primary responsibility is to cheerfully greet guests both in person and over the phone, ensuring that every arriving guest is promptly and hospitably seated. Hosts must maintain a thorough understanding of the restaurant’s menu items, food preparation methods, service standards, and bar concept, which enables them to enhance the customer’s experience from the outset. In addition to seating guests, Hosts play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host podium and entrance area, ensuring the restaurant environment is inviting and impeccably maintained.
The position offers a starting wage of $16 per hour, making it a competitive opportunity for those entering or progressing within the hospitality sector. This job requires flexibility in scheduling, including availability during nights, weekends, holidays, and potential overtime, reflecting the dynamic nature of the restaurant industry.
Hosts coordinate table distribution by acting as a liaison between server staff and door staff, ensuring fairness and efficiency in seating arrangements. Hosts assist other team members as needed, follow all safety protocols, and comply with the restaurant's standard operating procedures. Grooming and appearance standards are important, with Hosts expected to dress in the provided uniform and maintain a professional presence.
Engagement with guests goes beyond seating, as Hosts are expected to contribute to promoting casino events, property services, and promotional campaigns, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience. Beyond direct guest interaction, the Host position also demands strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary. The role requires a solid work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding integrity and company policies. Successful candidates will have passed background checks and demonstrated the ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance consistently.
Overall, the Host position is an essential role within this restaurant’s team to guarantee guests enjoy their dining experience from arrival to departure. It offers a welcoming environment for individuals enthusiastic about hospitality, customer service, and teamwork, and provides opportunities for growth in a customer-focused restaurant setting.
