Job Requirements
- 16 years old
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to wipe down table tops and furniture
- Ability to transport plates, glasses, and baskets frequently
- Mobility required during entire shift
- Ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for up to four hours
- Good sense of balance
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and kneel

Job Duties
- Greets and seats all guests in a friendly manner
- Assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the dining area
- Ensures seating service is rotated among server area assignments whenever possible
- Opens doors for arriving and departing guests
- Remains visible in the front of house and forward facing the main entrance
- Occasionally delivers food and drinks to guests when extra assistance is needed
- Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeat atmosphere
- Completes assigned opening and closing side work as scheduled
- Participates in clearing and resetting dining room tables using Applebee's team delivery system
- Observes guests, responds to requests, and anticipates guest needs
- Maintains a clean and organized work area
- Explains and demonstrates usage of Tabletop Electronic Devices to guests
- Drives sales with suggestive selling techniques
- Accommodates any special needs of guests such as providing booster chairs, high chairs, or wheelchairs
- Manages the waitlist during busy periods
- Occasionally serves guests in Carside To-Go or Server Relay roles
- Fills out feature sheets
- Assists in general front of house maintenance including restroom upkeep, light cleaning such as dusting and wiping windows, sani-bucket rotation, setting up the expo line, emptying trash, rolling silverware, and maintaining restaurant curb appeal
