Job Duties
- Greets and welcomes all customers immediately upon arrival and verifies number in their party
- Determines special needs such as high chairs or special menus
- Seats customers at tables or booths appropriate for their needs and those of the restaurant
- Suggests new menu items from limited time offerings
- Receives payment and makes correct change
- Assists with beverages including bold, signature, or flavored coffees
- Cleans, completes side work, and organizes supplies as needed
- Assists other team members willingly
- Provides total guest satisfaction
- Handles incoming telephone calls and takes to-go orders
- Keeps hostess area stocked and clean
- Maintains proper supply of clean menus
- Assists service personnel in clearing and setting tables
- Resolves complaints and notifies manager of any issues
