Job Description

We are seeking a professional and friendly Host to join our restaurant team, a vibrant and welcoming establishment dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, the Host acts as the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their visit. This role is integral in maintaining a smooth flow of seating arrangements, managing wait times, and ensuring every guest feels valued from the moment they step through the door.

Job Requirements

Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required
ability to read and understand simple instructions
ability to write simple correspondence
ability to effectively present information to guests and other team members
must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits
constant standing or walking
occasional stooping or kneeling
occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 40 pounds
occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps
frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
constant receiving detailed information through oral communication
constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas using the spoken word
constant clarity of vision at near and or far distances

Job Duties

Warmly greet all guests upon their arrival
open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible
inspect tables for proper presentation
record guest information in the NoWait App and provide estimated wait times when the restaurant is on a wait
notify guests via the No Wait App when their table is ready
accommodate special seating requests whenever possible
make friendly conversation with guests as you escort them to their table
offer guests a menu and inform them of the server's name upon seating
handle food: chips and salsa
thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
attend all scheduled team member meetings
