Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months experience in hospitality or related field preferred
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic data entry skills preferred
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare and nutrition staff
  • Ability to respond promptly to patient needs and dietary requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High School graduation or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months related hospitality experience preferred such as waiting tables or restaurant receptionist
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic data entry skills preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English required
  • Knowledge of a second language helpful

Job Duties

  • Visits patients to introduce food service department
  • Interviews patients to obtain food preferences and basic information
  • Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service
  • Ensures patient satisfaction and identifies meal service problems
  • Passes and collects patient satisfaction surveys
  • Reports meal service problems to Patient Care Manager and Nutrition Office
  • Collects Nutrition Care Order sheets and delivers them to Nutrition Office
  • Distributes and collects patient menus
  • Assists patients with menu completion
  • Communicates with Nursing staff for early and late tray deliveries
  • Delivers nourishments and snacks as ordered
  • Cleans and maintains pantries, refrigerators, and cabinets
  • Checks and discards expired food
  • Maintains departmental policies including quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
