Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months experience in hospitality or related field preferred
- Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic data entry skills preferred
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare and nutrition staff
- Ability to respond promptly to patient needs and dietary requirements
Job Qualifications
- High School graduation or equivalent preferred
- 6 months related hospitality experience preferred such as waiting tables or restaurant receptionist
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic data entry skills preferred
- Ability to speak, read, and write English required
- Knowledge of a second language helpful
Job Duties
- Visits patients to introduce food service department
- Interviews patients to obtain food preferences and basic information
- Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service
- Ensures patient satisfaction and identifies meal service problems
- Passes and collects patient satisfaction surveys
- Reports meal service problems to Patient Care Manager and Nutrition Office
- Collects Nutrition Care Order sheets and delivers them to Nutrition Office
- Distributes and collects patient menus
- Assists patients with menu completion
- Communicates with Nursing staff for early and late tray deliveries
- Delivers nourishments and snacks as ordered
- Cleans and maintains pantries, refrigerators, and cabinets
- Checks and discards expired food
- Maintains departmental policies including quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
