Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of customer service or hosting experience preferred
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and courteously
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Availability to work weekends and some holidays
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Familiarity with POS systems and digital reservation systems such as OpenTable
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-volume environments

Job Duties

  • Provide great hospitality by going above and beyond for every guest
  • Know regular guests' names, preferences, and anticipate their needs
  • Control the pace of the door and communicate with managers to control the flow of the restaurant
  • Know the menu and be able to make genuine recommendations
  • Keep the host stand clean and presentable
  • Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment
  • Respond to on-the-fly requests with ease and poise
  • Understand POS systems and OpenTable or other digital/online reservation systems
  • Availability to work weekends and some holidays
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operation
