The position available is responsible for ensuring an exceptional dining experience by managing the seating of residents in the dining room and handling customer service situations efficiently. The role involves greeting guests warmly, directing them to appropriate seating based on availability or preferences, and promoting a safe, clean, and inviting dining environment. The employee will exhibit strong communication skills, flexibility, patience, and sensitivity to guest needs, maintaining confidentiality where necessary. Supervisory duties include overseeing food-service associates to guarantee food handling and sanitation standards, training new team members, and managing the closing procedures of the dining room. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet and direct guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements
  • Help create an overall enjoyable dining experience and promote a safe, clean and neat environment for guests and other associates
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills
  • Get along well with others, demonstrate flexibility and patience
  • Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information
  • Supervise the activities of food-service associates in the dining room to ensure proper customer service, food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Help train new food-service team members
  • Supervise the closing of the assigned dining room and ensure side work and station setup is properly completed
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency safety procedures and assist with evacuations as necessary
  • Assist with service including occasional bussing and food service while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • Operate equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells and coffee machines
  • Work with staff of other departments during special events or functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
