We are currently seeking a professional and charismatic Host to join our historic Redwood Room lounge. This role serves as the pivotal first point of contact for guests entering one of our most iconic venues. As the face of the Redwood Room, the Host ensures a seamless, smooth guest experience by managing the seating flow and providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This position requires an elegant balance of high-volume efficiency and sophisticated grace, tailored for the upscale cocktail lounge environment.

The Host's responsibilities extend beyond simple greeting duties; they maintain an organized and pristine entryway and host station, coordinate floor activities by communicating guest needs and table availability with servers, bartenders, and management, and oversee reservation and waitlist systems to maximize capacity effectively. Knowledge of the lounge’s unique history and menu offerings is essential to answer guest questions, enhancing the overall experience with informative and hospitable engagement.

Ideal candidates will possess previous hosting experience within a high-volume and upscale dining or lounge environment, although this is preferred rather than mandatory. Strong verbal communication skills, professionalism, and a polished demeanor are crucial for success in this role. Additionally, familiarity with reservation platforms is advantageous, and the capacity to adapt and remain composed during busy peak hours is necessary. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays aligns with the hospitality industry’s demands and is required for this position.
