The role of Host or Hostess is essential to the smooth functioning and positive reputation of our restaurant. This position involves the responsibility of greeting guests promptly, seating them courteously, and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit. As the first point of contact for our guests, the Host or Hostess plays a crucial role in setting the tone for a friendly and enjoyable dining experience. This role extends beyond guest interaction to include operational duties such as answering phones, processing To Go orders accurately, collecting payments, and assisting service personnel by clearing and setting tables as needed. Additionally, the Host or Hostess must be adept at resolving complaints in a calm and effective manner, while promptly notifying management of any significant issues. The position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to handle monetary transactions with precision, and the physical mobility necessary to navigate a busy work environment safely. Compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, particularly those related to food handling, is a vital component of this role. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to handle cash and monetary transactions accurately
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • compliance with local health regulations

Job Duties

  • greet and seat guests promptly and courteously

  • ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
