  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Availability to work weekends and some holidays
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Provide great hospitality by going above and beyond for every guest
  • Know regular guests’ names, preferences, and anticipate their needs
  • Control the pace of the door and communicate with managers to control the flow of the restaurant
  • Know the menu and be able to make genuine recommendations
  • Keep it clean
  • the host stand is a guest’s first impression
  • Perform calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment
  • Respond to on-the-fly requests with ease and poise
  • Understand POS systems and OpenTable or other digital/online reservation systems
  • Be available to work weekends and some holidays
  • Fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
