Job Description

Miller's Ale House is a vibrant and well-established restaurant chain known for its casual and enjoyable dining experience rooted in providing excellent food, drinks, and customer service. With locations across various states, Miller's Ale House has built a reputation for being a lively place where guests can gather to enjoy great meals, watch sports, and socialize with friends and family. The company prides itself on fostering a welcoming environment where both guests and team members feel like part of a family. The culture emphasizes integrity, a relentless drive for excellence, and commitment to doing what is right, which reflects in the way the establishment operates and delivers customer satisfaction.

The role of Host/Hostess at Miller's Ale House is a vital front-of-house position that serves as the first point of contact and a critical figure in shaping guests' first impressions. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for greeting guests warmly as they arrive, managing seating arrangements to optimize flow and balance workloads among servers, and ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued from the moment they step through the door. This position requires an energetic, upbeat, and personable individual who can maintain a fast pace while providing outstanding customer service. You will handle seating preferences, provide accurate wait times, suggest alternatives such as seating at the bar during busy periods, and ensure guest safety and satisfaction throughout their visit.

In addition to guest interaction duties, you will collaborate closely with the service team to support bussing dishes, sanitizing, resetting tables, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Attention to detail and multitasking skills are essential, as you will also be responsible for monitoring the cleanliness of restrooms and keeping the entrance area inviting and tidy. Communication with team members and management is key to successfully addressing any concerns or potential issues proactively. Safety and sanitation protocols are an important part of the role, requiring frequent hand washing and adherence to cleanliness standards to ensure a hygienic environment for all guests and staff.

Working at Miller's Ale House offers many benefits, including a fun and fast-paced work environment where open-door communication is encouraged. Employees enjoy a 50 percent dining privilege, giving them the opportunity to experience and enjoy the restaurant's offerings outside of their shift. Career advancement opportunities are available for those who display dedication and a willingness to grow professionally. Health benefits are also included, contributing to the well-being of team members. The work schedule requires punctuality and reliability, with the expectation that Hosts/Hostesses arrive ready to work as scheduled and remain attentive and engaged throughout their shift.

Overall, the Host/Hostess position at Miller's Ale House is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about customer service, enjoys a fast-moving environment, and values teamwork and communication. If you are someone who naturally exudes friendliness, consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, and strives to create exceptional guest experiences, this role offers an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a dynamic and successful restaurant team.
