V&E Hospitality Group is currently seeking friendly and hospitable individuals to join their team as Restaurant Hosts/Hostesses. This crucial role serves as the first point of contact for guests visiting any of the company’s restaurants or bars, making the Host/Hostess position pivotal in shaping the overall dining experience. The primary responsibilities include providing guests with a warm and welcoming greeting, managing reservations accurately, and coordinating seating arrangements efficiently. The Host/Hostess will be tasked with welcoming guests, maintaining organized reservation systems for both phone and online bookings, managing seating assignments to balance guest preferences with table availability and server workloads, and handling waitlists during busy periods. Effective communication with servers and kitchen staff will be essential to accommodate special requests, allergies, or any immediate guest concerns. Additionally, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting areas will help uphold the welcoming environment. The role also includes the responsibility of providing guests with current menus, daily specials, promotions, and event information to enhance their experience.

Job Qualifications
- previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required

Job Duties
- greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon their arrival ensuring they feel valued and comfortable
- maintain an organized reservation system including taking reservations over the phone or through online platforms and ensuring accurate record-keeping
- manage the seating process efficiently balancing guest preferences table availability and server assignments ensuring an even distribution of guests among sections
- effectively manage waitlists during peak dining hours providing estimated wait times and offering guests the option to wait at the bar or in a designated waiting area
- provide guests with information about the restaurant's offerings including menus daily specials and any promotions or events
- communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding table availability special requests and any guest concerns or allergies
- maintain a clean and organized host/hostess stand and waiting area ensuring menus and promotional materials are clean and in good condition
- bid guests a warm farewell and express appreciation for their visit as they depart collect feedback and address any immediate concerns
