Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to move throughout dining areas and lift necessary weights
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and a welcoming demeanor
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
  • Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40lbs
  • Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon their arrival
  • Maintain an organized reservation system including taking reservations over phone or online platforms
  • Manage seating process efficiently balancing guest preferences, table availability, and server assignments
  • Effectively manage waitlists during peak dining hours providing estimated wait times and options for guests
  • Provide guests with information about menus, daily specials, promotions, and events
  • Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding table availability, special requests, and guest concerns or allergies
  • Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess stand and waiting area
  • Bid guests a warm farewell and express appreciation for their visit, collecting feedback and addressing any immediate concerns
