Job Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
- ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
- ability to perform reaching and stooping motions
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host or hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- positive attitude and a welcoming demeanor
- availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon their arrival
- maintain an organized reservation system including taking reservations via phone or online platforms
- manage the seating process efficiently balancing guest preferences, table availability, and server assignments
- effectively manage waitlists during peak hours providing estimated wait times and waiting options
- provide guests with information about menus, daily specials, and promotions
- communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding table availability, special requests, and guest concerns
- maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area, ensuring menus and promotional materials are in good condition
- bid guests a warm farewell and express appreciation for their visit, collect feedback and address immediate concerns
