Job Requirements

Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively
ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs
ability to perform reaching and stooping motions

Job Qualifications

Previous experience as a host or hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
positive attitude and a welcoming demeanor
availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude upon their arrival
maintain an organized reservation system including taking reservations via phone or online platforms
manage the seating process efficiently balancing guest preferences, table availability, and server assignments
effectively manage waitlists during peak hours providing estimated wait times and waiting options
provide guests with information about menus, daily specials, and promotions
communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding table availability, special requests, and guest concerns
maintain a clean and organized host stand and waiting area, ensuring menus and promotional materials are in good condition
bid guests a warm farewell and express appreciation for their visit, collect feedback and address immediate concerns
