We are currently hiring for the position of Host/Hostess. This role is ideal for someone with a friendly, outgoing personality who enjoys engaging with guests and making them feel welcome from the moment they enter the restaurant. The Host/Hostess is often the first point of contact and plays a critical role in shaping the guest's dining experience. You will be responsible for greeting guests with a warm smile, managing reservations, and ensuring that guests are comfortably seated in a timely manner. You should be comfortable making small talk, willing to learn and remember guests' names, and genuinely enjoy interacting with people.

This position requires someone who is reliable, hardworking, and capable of thriving in a busy restaurant setting. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Working as a Host/Hostess, you will be instrumental in maintaining the flow and organization of the restaurant's seating and reservation system, often utilizing point-of-sale (POS) software to manage guest bookings. The ability to work on your feet for extended periods, as well as availability for weekends and holidays, is necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be friendly and great with guests
  • Must be able to work on your feet for hours at a time
  • Strong guest/customer service skills
  • Friendly and people skills required
  • Ability to utilize a restaurant POS software platform
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with POS systems
  • Positive attitude and friendly demeanor

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and courteously
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements
  • Utilize restaurant POS software to record guest information
  • Maintain a clean and organized host station
  • Engage guests with friendly conversation and learn their names
  • Assist in handling waitlists and guest inquiries
