PML is a distinguished private club renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional member experiences through outstanding service and attention to detail. As a prestigious environment, PML prides itself on fostering a welcoming and refined atmosphere that caters to the diverse needs and expectations of its members. The club offers a variety of amenities, including fine dining, social events, and recreational activities, making it a sought-after community hub for individuals who value quality and exclusivity. Employing a dedicated and professional team, PML ensures that every interaction with members upholds the highest standards of hospitality and personalized service.
The Hostess/Host position at PML plays a critical role in creating a positive first impression and managing the flow of members within the club’s dining facilities. This full-time role is essential in coordinating arrivals, seating, and departures to ensure a seamless and superior member experience. The primary responsibility of the Hostess/Host is to greet members warmly, obtain accurate reservation information, and seat guests efficiently while maintaining the atmosphere of the club. This position requires excellent communication skills, thorough organizational capabilities, and the ability to multitask effectively in a high-paced environment.
A typical day in this role involves collaborating closely with the Manager on Duty and service staff to allocate tables and stations appropriately, managing the seating rotation to optimize service, and handling member inquiries both in-person and via telephone. Additionally, the Hostess/Host maintains the cleanliness and organization of the hostess stand and lobby area, ensuring that the environment remains inviting throughout the shift. Attention to detail and a proactive approach in anticipating member needs and potential issues are crucial for success in this position.
Physical stamina is an important aspect of the job, given the demands of standing for extended periods, carrying trays and supplies, and the need for mobility within the dining area. The ability to communicate effectively with members and team members, remain composed under pressure, and adhere strictly to safety protocols is expected. The Hostess/Host serves as an ambassador for the club and directly influences member satisfaction and return patronage.
This opportunity offers the chance to be part of a prestigious club environment that values professionalism, excellence in service, and teamwork. Candidates will receive training based on the comprehensive PML Employee Training Packet specific to the Hostess/Host role. This role not only promises a rewarding career path within the hospitality industry but also provides an enriching experience working with a diverse and dynamic membership base.
