The role of the Host Person at Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel is a part-time position reporting directly to the Outlet Supervisor. This role is integral to the guest dining experience, where the Host Person is responsible for promptly recognizing and seating guests efficiently and courteously in assigned dining outlets. Beyond seating guests, the Host Person supports servers by helping to ensure attentive, courteous, and efficient service throughout the dining experience, embodying the hotel's commitment to Southern hospitality and customer satisfaction.

The Host Person is also responsible for assisting the cashier with collecting payments and preparing cashier reports at the end of shifts, adding an essential operational component to the role. Additionally, the position requires familiarity with managing reservations and handling tip payouts for servers and service attendants when appropriate. Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply, with fine dining experience preferred.
