Job Duties

  • Report to work well groomed in proper and clean uniform and practice good personal hygiene
  • use greeting seating and waiting list procedures
  • handle cash credit card information gift cards and payment of guest checks properly
  • maintain cleanliness standards and stock reception area and restrooms
  • process guest checks accurately with no cash overages or shortages
  • anticipate identify and correct system breakdowns to maximize guest satisfaction
  • assist pantry maintenance and pre-rush organization
  • assist servers and bus persons to execute Perkins service standards
  • utilize proper cash handling procedures including counting change and security precautions
  • ensure cash register area is stocked with needed items
  • communicate with manager on duty and co-workers about product service deficiencies equipment and safety issues
  • monitor and oversee food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce foodborne illness risk
  • have sufficient menu knowledge to execute suggestive selling techniques
  • maintain cleanliness of bakery cases and restock
  • have knowledge of bakery products to execute selling techniques and sampling
  • bag or box products according to standards
