Job Duties
- Greets and welcomes customers immediately upon arrival
- verifies number in party and determines special needs such as high chairs or special menus
- collects payment from customers following established cash handling procedures
- inquires about food and service satisfaction
- handles customer complaints and suggestions appropriately
- seats customers at appropriate tables or booths
- introduces daily feature items
- keeps hostess area stocked and clean including to-go items and bakery products
- handles incoming telephone calls and takes to-go orders when appropriate
- maintains a proper supply of clean menus
- periodically suggests beverages, provides orders and refills
- assists service personnel in cleaning and setting tables
- resolves complaints and notifies manager of any issues
- assists other service personnel as needed
