Job Duties
- Visits patients for menu selection using bedside menu entry or printed menu
- delivers trays to patient bedside using established scripting and ensures satisfaction with meal by providing missing items and checking diet orders
- assembles and delivers room service trays to patients within 45 minutes of order
- retrieves trays from patient rooms noting patients not eating well and offers alternate food choices, consulting dietitian when necessary
- offers assistance with other requests before leaving patient rooms
- unloads and scraps patient trays and assists with dish washing when necessary
- delivers floor stocks, nourishments, and tube feedings to patient care units
- follows all food safety and infection control policies and procedures
- exhibits excellent customer service skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities with supervisors and teammates
