Job Duties

Visits patients for menu selection using bedside menu entry or printed menu
delivers trays to patient bedside using established scripting and ensures satisfaction with meal by providing missing items and checking diet orders
assembles and delivers room service trays to patients within 45 minutes of order
retrieves trays from patient rooms noting patients not eating well and offers alternate food choices, consulting dietitian when necessary
offers assistance with other requests before leaving patient rooms
unloads and scraps patient trays and assists with dish washing when necessary
delivers floor stocks, nourishments, and tube feedings to patient care units
follows all food safety and infection control policies and procedures
exhibits excellent customer service skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities with supervisors and teammates
