The role of Host/Hostess at TBCC is vital in setting the tone for guests from the moment they enter the restaurant until their departure. This position is responsible for warmly welcoming and professionally seating guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and overseeing guest flow to ensure a seamless dining experience. The Host/Hostess acts as the first point of contact, embodying the company's culture through excellent customer service, clear communication, and teamwork. Duties include managing guest seating, communicating wait times, accommodating special seating requests, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host area. Additionally, the Host/Hostess handles administrative duties like answering phone calls, assisting with inquiries, processing payments, and performing opening or closing procedures. Job Requirements
- Ability to read, understand, analyze, and interpret general training manuals, professional journals, or technical procedures
- ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from children, managers, associates, members, and the general public
- ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- minimum one year of customer service experience
- food service industry experience preferred
- state Food Handler Certification
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) state certification
- professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities
- strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills

Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of customer service experience, food service industry experience preferred

Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and professionally as they enter the restaurant
- manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow
- escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- communicate wait times and accommodate special seating requests
- maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area
- answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
- collaborate with servers and management to ensure smooth service
- understand and anticipate the needs of our members and guests
- operate cash register, process payments through cash or credit card handling and/or member account charges
- perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties as required
- maintain a clean, safe work environment according to State and Local food safety standards
- communicate timely and follow up as appropriate
- actively participate in events, programs, meetings, and training
- represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
- work varied schedules including weekends and holiday hours, days and evenings
