The Host position at Tom's Watch Bar plays a key role in shaping the guest experience right from their arrival. As the first point of contact for customers, the host sets the tone for their visit by greeting guests warmly, managing reservations, and assisting with seating arrangements. Beyond these frontline duties, hosts share their enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge about the restaurant's menu offerings and products, enhancing guest interaction and satisfaction. This role is critical in supporting team cohesiveness by assisting with new employee training through positive reinforcement and offering guidance when needed. Hosts are also flexible team players, pitching in with tasks such as answering telephones, stock management, and upkeep of cleanliness as business needs demand.

Job Duties

  • Share your knowledge and enthusiasm about the restaurant's menu and products with customers
  • Assist with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and offer assistance as needed
  • Support other areas of the restaurant as requested such as answering telephones stock work and cleanup
  • Manage guest seating and reservations effectively
  • Greet and welcome guests warmly to create a positive first impression
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host area
  • Handle customer inquiries and provide information promptly
