Job Description

We are currently seeking a Host or Hostess to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for greeting and seating them promptly, cheerfully, and courteously. You will play a vital part in shaping the dining experience by ensuring guests are welcomed warmly and seated efficiently. Beyond seating guests, your duties will include answering phones, managing To Go orders by taking, entering, and packaging them accurately, as well as collecting payments with attention to detail regarding currency handling. You will also assist with filling beverage orders and support service personnel by helping to clear and set tables, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

A critical aspect of your role is handling guest concerns with professionalism and calmness, addressing any complaints as they arise and promptly informing the manager to guarantee guest satisfaction. The position demands excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Additionally, you must maintain sufficient mobility to move freely within the work area, navigating between the front desk, dining room, and order preparation zones efficiently.

To excel in this role, you will need to adhere strictly to state, county, or municipal health regulations concerning food handling and sanitation, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety are maintained throughout service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong observational skills, especially in differentiating monetary denominations accurately during payment transactions, and possess a proactive approach to multitasking in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • ability to communicate clearly and politely
  • ability to handle cash and payment transactions accurately
  • ability to comply with state and local health regulations
  • physical ability to move and stand for extended periods
  • positive attitude and teamwork skills
