Job Description

Applebee's is a well-established chain of casual dining restaurants known across the United States for its welcoming atmosphere, quality American cuisine, and friendly service. Operating nationwide, Applebee's prides itself on creating a fun, inclusive, and supportive work culture that values integrity, respect, performance, development, and engagement. This vibrant environment invites individuals to become part of a dynamic team where hard work is recognized and rewarded, and where team members can achieve personal and professional growth. Applebee's commitment to community and continuous improvement is reflected in the way it treats both its guests and its employees, ensuring a positive experience for all.

The role of Host/Hostess at Applebee's is a fundamental part of the restaurant's success and guest experience. The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for greeting and seating customers in a friendly and efficient manner. This position requires excellent communication skills, a welcoming demeanor, and the ability to manage guest flow seamlessly throughout the dining area. As a Host/Hostess, you will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences by ensuring guests feel valued and attended to from the moment they enter until their departure. This role also offers opportunities for advancement within the Applebee's organization, as well as access to ongoing training and education resources such as the Bill Palmer Legacy Scholarship. Applebee's is dedicated to supporting its team members by providing competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance options, and additional perks like paid training, employee meal discounts, and a daily pay option through the Earned Wage app.

Applebee's values inclusivity and equality and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. The Host/Hostess position requires availability during open restaurant hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position also demands a readiness to handle the physical aspects of working in a restaurant environment and the use of POS (Point of Sale) systems to assist in guest seating and management. If you bring a positive attitude, a dedication to quality service, and a readiness to work within a team that aims to engage and energize its employees, then Applebee's offers a fulfilling career path with opportunities to grow personally and professionally in the hospitality industry.
