Job Duties

  • Showcases a warm, upbeat, and energetic demeanor to guests
  • Arrives to work on time as scheduled and ready to work
  • Follows Miller's Ale House policies in all respects, including time recording requirements such as clocking in and out
  • Greets guests in a warm and friendly manner while acknowledging all guests within five feet
  • Seats guests based on their seating preference when possible
  • Rotates seating with different servers to ensure even workloads and prompt service
  • Provides departing guests with a warm salutation thanking them for their visit and inviting them to return
  • Supports service team members in bussing dishes, sanitizing, and resetting tables as needed
  • Supports other front of house team members to ensure all guest requests are fulfilled promptly
  • Manages guest placement within the entrance area to enhance experience and ensure safety
  • Provides accurate wait times and recommends waiting options such as bar seating
  • Answers incoming restaurant calls in a friendly, professional manner
  • Maintains a neat and organized workstation and entrance area
  • Completes tasks on host opening and closing sidework charts
  • Ensures restrooms are clean, tidy, and stocked
  • Communicates with fellow team members and management
  • Notifies management immediately of any potential issues with guests, team members, or long wait times
  • Washes hands every 20 minutes throughout the shift
  • Maintains clean and sanitized work areas
  • Works with team members to execute safety and sanitation protocols
  • Supports other front-of-house functions recognizing their impact on guest experience
  • Exhibits a friendly disposition and attentiveness to guests
  • Positively communicates with team members and management
  • Provides exceptional service throughout the shift
  • Possesses strong communication skills and ability to work alone or in a team
  • Multitasks in a fast-paced environment
