Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk continually throughout an eight-hour shift
  • ability to attend work as scheduled including various schedules and shifts during normal business hours with some holidays and most weekends required
  • ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • must have a food handler's card
  • must have prior customer service experience
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff

Job Qualifications

  • Prior restaurant experience preferred
  • customer service focused, solution oriented, presentable and optimistic approach
  • must enjoy and succeed in a fast-paced work environment
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
  • basic math and written communication skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and restaurant needs
  • food handler's card required according to local and state regulations

Job Duties

  • Identify and deliver exceptional service by greeting and serving guests
  • be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the restaurant's menu and products
  • greet and seat guests, present menus, inform guests of daily specials
  • check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
  • treat all guests to ensure their complete satisfaction and always strive to exceed guests' expectations
  • take names on a waiting list and quote accurate wait times when tables are not immediately available
  • run the floor plan board by observing tables and keeping track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables
  • clean, organize, and stock menus at host area
  • answer phone and questions concerning the menu and restaurant
  • interact with guests as they arrive and leave to ensure positive dining experience
  • fill to-go orders, roll silverware, and set up for the following day
  • maintain cleanliness of host stand and entrance area including mopping and sweeping frequently
  • maintain restrooms throughout the shift
