Job Requirements
- Prior food and beverage industry experience preferred
- Prior guest relations training
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Must be willing to work flexible hours such as mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Regularly required to stand and walk for a prolonged period of time
- Must be capable of working effectively in both a hot and cold extreme temperature environment
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision
Job Qualifications
- Prior food and beverage industry experience preferred
- Prior guest relations training
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, upbeat attitude and personality
- Punctuality and reliable attendance
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
Job Duties
- Ensure the proper setup of dining room
- Promptly greet guests and patrons personally as they enter the establishment
- Escort guests and patrons to their table
- Present menus, make recommendations and take orders if necessary
- Ensure dining room seating is controlled and that there is server parity in number of tables
- Liaise between staff and guests to ensure guest needs, as well as expectations are exceeded
- Anticipate and address guests' service needs
