Job Requirements

  • Prior food and beverage industry experience preferred
  • Prior guest relations training
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, upbeat attitude and personality
  • Punctuality and reliable attendance
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests and other team members
  • Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision
  • Willingness to work flexible hours such as mornings, nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Ensure the proper setup of dining room
  • Promptly greet guests and patrons personally as they enter the establishment
  • Escort guests and patrons to their table
  • Present menus, make recommendations and take orders if necessary
  • Ensure dining room seating is controlled and that there is server parity in number of tables
  • Liaise between staff and guests to ensure guest needs, as well as expectations are exceeded
  • Anticipate and address guests service needs
