The Host uses technology such as the NoWait App to manage waitlists effectively, providing accurate wait times and timely notifications to guests when their table is ready. Moreover, the Host is expected to engage guests in friendly conversation as they are escorted to their tables and to offer menus along with the server's name, enhancing the personal touch of service. Handling simple food-related tasks such as serving chips and salsa and extending courteous farewells to guests upon departure are also part of the duties.
