Job Description

Azul Hospitality is a renowned hotel management company known for delivering exceptional guest experiences through its collection of upscale hotels and resorts. With a commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction, Azul Hospitality prides itself on maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism. The company cultivates a welcoming atmosphere for all guests and customers, ensuring that each visit to their establishments is memorable and pleasant. Azul Hospitality offers a dynamic and supportive work environment where employees are valued and encouraged to develop their skills within the hospitality industry. Employment with Azul Hospitality typically entails adherence to their grooming and uniform standards, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment, engaging with diverse clientele on a daily basis.

The role of Restaurant Host at Azul Hospitality is critical to the overall dining experience of the guests. The host is the first point of contact, responsible for greeting guests warmly with a smile and an appropriate greeting, thereby setting a positive tone for their visit. This position involves escorting guests to their tables, presenting menus, and communicating effectively with wait staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure seamless service that adheres to the company’s standards. Besides direct guest interaction, the role encompasses a variety of supporting tasks, such as refilling beverages, setting tables, cleaning the dining and serving areas, and assisting in food preparation for To-go areas during quieter periods. The Restaurant Host is also expected to manage table condiments by cleaning and refilling items like salt and pepper, sugar, napkins, as well as ketchup and mustard bottles, enhancing the overall guest experience.

In addition to these duties, the Restaurant Host is a team player who participates in a range of supportive functions as dictated by management needs. This includes handling inquiries from guests, following all safety and security policies, reporting maintenance or safety issues, and performing other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors. The role demands physical stamina including the ability to stand for extended periods, navigate through limited spaces efficiently, and occasionally lift or move heavy items. The position also requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, a detail-oriented mindset, basic computer and numerical skills, and the ability to manage conflicts with patience and diplomacy.

Candidates for the Restaurant Host role should have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. While food service and customer service experience are preferred, the company also values a positive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and the capacity to work independently. Possession of certifications such as Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers is considered advantageous. Azul Hospitality expects its staff to maintain a professional appearance according to company grooming policies and to demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality. Overall, this role offers an excellent platform for individuals eager to grow their careers in hospitality while contributing to a team dedicated to exceptional guest service and operational excellence.
