Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with reservation systems
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or restaurant hosting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the restaurant
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the hotel reservation system
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Communicate estimated wait times and accommodate special seating requests when possible
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries regarding hours, menus, and reservations
- Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
- Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating plans as needed
- Assist with guest recovery and resolve minor concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
- Regular and reliable attendance in conformance with company standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
