Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with reservation systems
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or restaurant hosting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Familiarity with reservation systems and basic computer skills
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the restaurant

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
  • Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists using the hotel reservation system
  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
  • Communicate estimated wait times and accommodate special seating requests when possible
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
  • Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries regarding hours, menus, and reservations
  • Coordinate with servers and managers to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
  • Monitor dining room flow and adjust seating plans as needed
  • Assist with guest recovery and resolve minor concerns with empathy and professionalism
  • Follow all hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
  • Regular and reliable attendance in conformance with company standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
