Job Description
The Roof at West Hollywood is part of the EDITION Hotels portfolio, a luxury boutique hotel brand developed by visionary hotelier Ian Schrager and operated under Marriott International. EDITION Hotels are renowned for blending polish with personality, originality with perfectionism, and comfort with charisma, creating a unique hospitality experience that appeals to sophisticated and discerning guests who value quality, design, and exceptional service. Situated at 9040 W Sunset Boulevard in the vibrant city of West Hollywood, California, The Roof offers an upscale dining and entertainment environment that complements the hotels refined aesthetic and service standards.
As a full-time, non-management team member at The Roof, you will play a crucial role in delivering the exceptional dining experience that guests expect from the EDITION brand. With a competitive pay range of $30.00 to $31.00 per hour, this role focuses on guest interactions, hospitality excellence, and maintaining the elegant ambiance that defines The Roof. The position involves greeting and seating guests, ensuring an impeccable dining environment, and supporting the overall smooth operation of the food and beverage services within this prestigious venue.
The Host position at The Roof is designed for outgoing individuals who are passionate about guest service and enjoy creating memorable moments for visitors. Your responsibilities will include warmly welcoming guests upon arrival, assessing the size of their party, and seating them at clean, available tables while ensuring that each setting meets the highest standards. You will manage table arrangements, accommodating special needs requests and making sure that guests feel comfortable and valued at all times.
Attention to detail is critical in this role, as you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and uniformity of menus and place settings throughout your shift. This includes ensuring menus are pristine and free from wrinkles, that place settings are complete with napkins and silverware, and that the dining areas reflect the brands commitment to quality and sophistication. You will monitor the dining room to optimize seating availability, supervise guest safety, and maintain a high level of service and guest satisfaction.
Furthermore, you will uphold all company policies around safety, security, and professional conduct, contributing to a safe and welcoming workplace. The Roof is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where associates feel valued and empowered to perform their best. As such, you will collaborate with your team to achieve common goals and support one another in creating an atmosphere where service comes from the heart rather than from a handbook.
Working at The Roof means being part of a dynamic and theatrical hospitality experience where every gesture and interaction contributes to the overall enchantment of the guest visit. This is a career opportunity for those who desire to work in a stimulating environment that challenges and inspires, while offering a chance to be part of a globally recognized brand. Join The Roof team and begin your purpose, belong to an amazing global team, and become the best version of yourself within Marriott Internationals prestigious EDITION family.
