Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail, cleanliness and safety
  • Patience and customer-oriented approach
  • Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
  • Responsible and trustworthy
  • Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds of force frequently
  • Ability to be mobile for a minimum of 6 hours on feet

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospitality or related customer service
  • Fluent in English

Job Duties

  • Attend all restaurant required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Groot Hospitality/Papi Steak standards
  • Ensure full time availability with flexibility to work variable schedules including evenings, holidays and weekends
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance, grooming, and wear the proper uniform
  • Follow food safety and sanitary guidelines issued by the Health Department
  • Complete assigned side-work within allocated timeframe
  • Possess strong food and beverage menu knowledge
  • Maintain complete knowledge of floor plan, table numbers, and stations
  • Greet guests promptly with a positive attitude and smile
  • Acknowledge VIP guests by name
  • Answer phones and manage accurate waitlist and reservation counts
  • Collect, store, and maintain menus ensuring cleanliness and currency
  • Monitor table usage, availability, and turnover readiness
  • Provide regular updates on guest counts to kitchen and management
  • Check in frequently with guests waiting in bar area
  • Thank guests by name upon departure
