Within this unique hotel stands ARIA, an artisanal American cuisine restaurant situated on the second floor. Currently, Saint Kate is seeking a part-time Host/Hostess to join the ARIA team, a role that is both inviting and essential in shaping guest interactions from the moment they enter.   • ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner
  • ability to read, speak, and write the English language
  • maintain a clean environment and ensure area is always organized
  • ability to remember, recite, and promote a variety of menu items and multi-task
  • ability to move through a crowded room to seat guests
  • ability to work POS system, Open Table computer and cash handling experience preferred
  • must be able to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work under pressure

Job Duties

  • Greet guests, check reservations, and log arrivals
  • answer phones and manage voicemail
  • escort guests to their table, provide menus, and introduce their server
  • maintain cleanliness of the work area
  • handle reservations and arrangements for restaurant functions
  • assist wait staff and bus staff as needed
  • help with BEOs for private functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
