The role available is for Host, Expo, or Support Staff. As the first point of contact for guests, this position plays a crucial role in setting the tone for each guest’s dining experience. The Host or Hostess responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, providing accurate wait times, and escorting customers to dining and bar areas. This role requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills to ensure guests feel welcomed and valued from arrival through departure. Flexibility in shift work is also essential.

The Food Expeditor aspect of this role involves facilitating a smooth and timely flow of orders between waitstaff and the kitchen. This responsibility includes checking dishes for accuracy and presentation, assisting with final dish preparation, maintaining fast service pace, managing customer complaints professionally, and ensuring adherence to quality and sanitation standards.

Support Staff members are expected to be versatile, capable of assisting with both hosting and expediting duties as required. This flexibility supports efficient restaurant operations and enhances teamwork. The position demands availability primarily on weekends, with Saturday and Sunday morning shifts from 9am to 4pm, and additional flexibility on Fridays or Mondays considered a bonus.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be available both Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9am to 4pm
  • Bonus if you have flexibility on Friday or Monday (10am to 3pm)

Job Qualifications

  • Restaurant experience preferred but not necessary
  • Knowledge of basic customer service and pleasant, positive attitude
  • Able to stand for long periods
  • Able to lift at least 20 pounds
  • Good hearing for safety and accurate communication
  • Command of the English language
  • Basic computer skills

Job Duties

  • Report to work in full uniform for each shift and being responsible for clock in/out
  • Perform host stand set-up, opening duties, running side work, and closing duties
  • Positive and uplifting first and last impression to our patrons
  • Communicate and seat guests in an organized, professional, and friendly fashion
  • Accept reservations (when applicable) and quote waiting periods per manager's criteria
  • Attend all employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement
  • Maintain restaurant safety and sanitation policies
  • Assist in table maintenance when able
  • Work with teamwork always in mind
  • Friendly and courteous telephone manners
  • Keep a clean and professional appearance at all times
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by the General Manager/Supervisor
