The Front of House team member role at Flagship is integral to ensuring a seamless and welcoming customer experience. With a pay rate of $20.50 per hour, this position is responsible for being the primary point of contact for guests, embodying excellent customer service from the moment customers enter the establishment. The role involves hosting guests, managing dining room cleanliness and organization, supporting kitchen staff by accommodating special needs, and assisting in food and beverage preparation. Team members take on responsibilities such as setting and bussing tables, restocking utensils and food stations, preparing beverages, expediting orders, and overseeing dining room areas to maintain high standards of hygiene and customer satisfaction. Emphasizing safety and sanitation, the Front of House team members follow strict guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health, and Risk Management throughout their duties.

Job Requirements

  • Must have and maintain an active Handlers' Card (ServSafe)
  • Adhere to local food handler requirements
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to move throughout the café and kitchen
  • Good or correctable vision
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift objects up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to push and pull loaded and unloaded carts
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation in the workplace

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience in a food service operation or customer service role
  • Excellent culinary skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks consistently
  • Professional appearance
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to lead a team

Job Duties

  • Accommodates special needs of the guests
  • Inspects dining room service stations for neatness and cleanliness
  • Restocks food and condiment stations while avoiding contamination
  • Prepares beverages and expedites food orders
  • Monitors the number of guests entering and exiting the café
  • Stocks and re-stocks utensils, plates, and glasses in the service area
  • Uses carts to transport utensils, glassware, plates, and food
  • Acts as a host/hostess for guests, takes orders, and sets or re-sets tables with place settings
  • Follows safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management
  • Performs other duties as assigned
