Job Requirements
- High school diploma is a plus but not required
- ability to communicate with the public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner
- knowledge of surrounding areas and local events
- ability to understand and adhere to proper credit and cash handling policies and procedures
- knowledge of proper telephone etiquette
- must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time
- must be able to withstand working in heat, rain, sun, and cold
- attention to cleanliness and safety
- patience and customer-oriented approach
- excellent people skills with a friendly attitude

Job Duties
- Welcome guests to the venue
- provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- answer telephone and address customer queries
- process and track reservations in Opentable
- escort guests to assigned dining tables
- seat guests based on preferences and balancing customer flow
- offer menus and inform guests of server names upon seating
- inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness
- coordinate with wait staff about seating options
- maintain a clean reception area
- cater to guests requiring extra attention such as children or elderly
- control restaurant volume and ensure social distancing among waiting guests
- inspect and maintain daily menus for quality and appearance
- process and handle take-out and delivery orders
- perform other duties as assigned by the department head
