Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work irregular hours including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts
  • Must lift and carry trays weighing up to 20 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
  • Good coordination and flexibility
  • Must be able to fit through a 30 inch wide opening
  • Ability to work under high stress and pressure during peak times
  • Commitment to maintain personal hygiene and proper uniform standards

Job Duties

  • Report to work well groomed, in proper and clean uniform and practice good personal hygiene
  • Use greeting, seating, and waiting list procedures
  • Handle cash, credit card information, gift cards, and all payment-related tasks accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness standards and stocks for the reception area and restrooms
  • Process guest checks with accuracy and no cash overages or shortages
  • Anticipate, identify and correct system breakdowns to maximize guest satisfaction
  • Provide assistance to pantry maintenance and pre-rush organization
  • Support servers and bus persons in delivering Perkins service standards
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures including security precautions and cash accountability
  • Ensure cash register area is stocked with all needed items
  • Communicate with Manager on Duty and co-workers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment, safety issues
  • Monitor and oversee food temperatures to minimize risk of foodborne illness
  • Utilize menu knowledge to execute suggestive selling techniques
  • Maintain cleanliness and restock bakery cases
  • Execute suggestive selling and sampling programs for bakery products
  • Bag or box products according to standards
